Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
I don't know how I can help my partner breastfeed - she's the one that has to do it.
There are lots of ways you can help your partner to breastfeed. Letting her know that you fully support her decision to breastfeed your baby will be the first step. The evidence tells us that this can make a major difference to mums continuing to breastfeed. There are also lots of practical things you can do around the house to make life easier for her while she is breastfeeding – try putting the washing on, making the dinner, or tidying up. You can also do lots of things with your baby, such as changing your baby’s nappy, giving her a bath, or singing to her. All this will help you bond with your baby and enjoy this special time together.
