Sharon Scott
My name is Sharon Scott and my wee girl’s called Taylor Weir. She’s 15 weeks old and since day one Taylor’s been no problem. She only gets up twice during the night at the worst. You’re in charge of this wee baby and that’s it, you’re left with it, you’re getting on with it, but it’s been great.
Before you’re waiting on the child coming, I’m thinking, well I’ll not be feeding in front of anybody and I’ll not be doing it here and I’ll not be doing it there, but at the end of the day, when your child’s hungry, and they want fed, it doesn’t matter where you are, who’s there, or when - you’re just going to obviously feed them.
Nobody in my family breastfed - not any of my aunties, mum, nobody.
The [breastfeeding] group is great; any problems that you have had, they’ll support you all the way and they will give you really good advice.
Taylor has been getting a wee bit more hungry, but obviously she’s too young for weaning, so she’s getting up maybe a wee bit more than she used to, twice instead of once, but still I can’t complain.
It’s definitely easier, obviously. You’re out and about - you don’t need to go and get a bottle, make it up, you can just feed on demand where and when you like.
